Walking Event: Wildwood Lake Trail

This Dauphin County event is open from dawn to dusk. Rated 1+. This trail starts at Wildwood Lake Sanctuary which is about 3 miles from the registration point. This new Lake Trail is around peaceful Wildwood Lake. The trail is on boardwalks, natural and paved surfaces. Strollers may have some difficulty on the 10K if it is rainy. There may be times when the boardwalks are closed because of ice - you can walk the 5K trail twice if you wish. Call the Center at 717-221-0292 for information. The Nature Center does not have to be open to walk this trail. The alternate trail, Lake and River Trail, goes around Italian Lake, uses portions of the Capital Area Greenbelt, goes along the Susquehanna River, passes many outstanding architectural beauties, and the Governor's Mansion. This trail starts about 2 miles from the registration point. Driving directions to the start of the trail are included on the trail instructions.
