The HLS Spelling Bee is Hampton’s first spelling competition, administered by the Hampton Literary Society. Schools may register students or youth between the ages of 10 to 14 years can sign up on their own. As with the Scripps Competition our purpose is to help student improve their use of the English language. Spellers will be given a variety of words from a variety of English Dictionaries.

The sprawling Hampton Roads Convention Center features 344,000 total square feet of versatile convention and exhibit space.
