Hampton’s 2nd Annual Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Hampton Literary Society, will be held from Noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. The festival is free and open to the public. The event will be hosted by Hampton Literary Society founder, Veronica A. Davis. The 2009 festival will feature the literary talents of both local and national authors of all genres. Festival goers can have books signed by their favorite authors, and children can take part in fun games and crafts. Area schools and libraries have been invited to discuss and distribute materials about their reading and literacy promotion programs. Schools and libraries have been asked to provide activities that are fun for the whole family.
