"Creating a Book of Photography" with Steven Dunn
Join us at the Harlow Gallery at 7pm on Tuesday, November 10, when photographer Steven Dunn will talk about how to go about using your photographic images to create a book. Steve will discuss the process in creating his own book about Monhegan Island. ArtTalks are free and open to the public thanks to our season sponsor, Savings Bank of Maine.
Steve Dunn has been studying photography for16 years and has taken seminars on a wide variety of photographic topics. Most notably, he has studied visual design with internationally known photographers Freeman Patterson and Andre' Gallant. He has also studied with internationally acclaimed photographers Joyce Tenneson and Jay Stock. Steve's photographs have been accepted into numerous juried international exhibitions where he has won a number of awards, including three gold medals from the Austrian Super Circuit, the largest juried photographic exhibition in the world. His work has been part of international exhibitions in Europe and Asia and has also been exhibited in numerous galleries throughout Maine
Steve specializes in fine art photography and uses such techniques as Polaroid manipulation, multiple exposure, montage, and rear projection, which give much of his work an impressionistic quality. He also teaches photography classes with an emphasis on visual design. Steve's wife, Sandra Leinonen-Dunn, is an artist, and is the inspiration for many of his fine art portraits. Together they run a studio in their home in Chelsea.

Art Talks are free and open to the public. The Harlow Gallery is grateful to Gardiner Savings Bank of Maine for generously sponsoring the 2009 season of Art Talks.
