Description
ShalomFest'10 is the Second Annual Upstate SC Jewish Food and Cultural Festival that will take place on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 11am - 6pm on the campus of the Temple of Israel.
There will be all kinds of Jewish and Israeli foods (including brisket, chicken soup, hot dogs, knishes, kosher pickles, kugel, latkes, hummus, schwarma, falafel),Jewish pastries (rugelach, hamantaschen, honey cake, mondel bread, rainbow cookies, and strudel) music, dancing, singing and Jewish crafts for children. There will be many educational lectures about Jewish history, religion, culture and Israel. Visitors will have the opportunity to attend a mock Jewish Wedding,a Bar Mitzvah, and a Passover Seder. Jewish holidays will be explained and there will be Israel and Holocaust Exhibits.
This is a family event where everyone will learn AND enjoy!
