Six traits writing is a systematic approach to the writing process. The identified Six Traits assessment and instructional framework allows teachers to focus on the skills necessary for students to become proficient writers. The Six Traits are:
1. Content
2. Organization
3. Voice
4. Word Choice
5. Sentence Fluency
6. Conversation
