Walking Event: at Holiday Station Store

The trail begins in and goes through historic Stolley Park. It then passes by Grand Island Cemetery and continues along a hike/bike trail and through beautiful residential areas to St. Stephen s Episcopal Church where Theodore Roosevelt worshipped while in our city to dedicate the Carnegie Library in 1903. Soon, you will be in downtown Grand Island. As you pass the historic Hall County Courthouse, you will view our Civil War Monument. St. Mary s Cathedral and the Liederkranz, an early German social society, follow in short order after the courthouse. Then it is on to the Millennium Trail, an old U.P. railroad bed, and back to the Stolley Park starting point.
