November we will continue in the ARC front meeting room in the building next to the west parking lot and continue with the new time: 12:30 - 3:00 PM. The new time worked out well. For those wanting to start oil painting I plan to set some time apart for that. So you don't have to think this is devoted only to watercolor. Those who are into acrylics who are coming, please indicate your interest so that others with the same interest will know of it and join you. In October no one came to work on oil painting. If you want help with a demo in oil painting let me know when you RSVP so I won't have to haul stuff on crutches and can leave it home. For those watercolor exploring watercolor I still suggest botanical paintings. In October we had three who had not come before (Debbie, Steve and Adam) do the Western Red Lily. Lyn started an impressionistic watercolor portrait. Cricket did a small size sketch of the Yellowstone Falls scene effectively using simple brush strokes for distant trees. I would like to redo the same scene in the November meeting, myself. Sometime I would like to get back to portrait painting. Does that appeal to others? So we will continue in the very nice meeting room at the Glendale Adult Recreation Center. Again RSVP for this one too if you are coming. Also cancel if you have too. Don't RSVP and then just not show up. --------------------------------Directions----------------------------- Here is the URL for Glendale with the ARC marked: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl Enlarged view (Marked "Glendale Central Park": http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=%22Adult+Recreation+Center22+Glendale+California&ie=UTF8&ll=34.143253,-118.252255&spn=0.002975,0.006866&z=17 Glendale Adult Recreation Center (ARC) 201 E Colorado St. Glendale, CA phone: 548-3778 (The site manager for the Senior Meals Program will be able to answer the phone when the facility opens at 9 AM, and is around the corner from our room). There is a parking building north of the libaray half a block away. There is more parking on the south side of Colorado Blvd near the ARC. And on Louise south of Colorado there is no time limit and parking is unmetered! If you park there, cross over to the north side of Colorado, go west to the alley, and look for "Sr Cafe" on the side of the building.
