The Cathouse Glasgow started life in 1990, then located on the city's Brown Street. Within five years, demand for the venue had grown to such an extent that it was forced to move to a bigger space, and so The Cathouse Glasgow set up shop on Union Street, where it remains today.
The Cathouse Glasgow is without a doubt, the go-to venue for those who live the rock and roll lifestyle. Fans and performers alike recognise its legitimacy, as evidenced by the caliber of acts who have played there in the past; Queens of the Stone Age, Pearl Jam, Oasis and Stratovarius are just a few of those major acts featured on The Cathouse schedule over the years.
in 2006, sixteen years after it first burst onto the nightlife scene, The Cathouse Glasgow finally received the accolade which many would argue was long overdue - SLTN's 'Nightclub of the Year' award.
