Description
The Sahara may be the world's largest desert, but Gilbert's Sahara Cafe offers an oasis of tasty delights. I discovered this moderately-priced, yet attractive and comfortable restaurant, several years ago. I returned recently with John and we were both wowed by Sahara's mix of tempting Mediterranean and Indian dishes. Sahara's great food and cozy ambiance should appeal to all Traveleers and provide a nice break from the chain restaurant world. This link will show you some of Sahara's menu choices: http://www.allmenus.com/menus/33612/Cafe-Sahara Since Sahara is a small, quiet restaurant, I thought it might be fun to play a game suggested by Katrina. Here's what I would like everyone to do: if you're planning to attend this meetup, send me a few sentences describing a personal travel experience. Example: "While traveling in a small town in Central America, my friends and I had so much tequila that the locals ran home to get their cameras, just to take pictures of the crazy American tourists. No, I'm afraid I can't claim this story as my own --- this little gem belongs to my brother If you're planning to attend, please send me your description by Friday, January 16th so we'll be ready to play the next evening. Hope to see you there ... Judie
