Arizona Concealed Carry Weapon Class & Certification - 8 Hours Course Description: This course satisfies the Arizona State requirements for obtaining your concealed weapon permit. Topics include: Firearms safety, firearm storage, law and legal, ammunition selection, combat mindset, judgmental shooting, a written test and a range shooting qualification. We will have 8 hours of classroom work on Saturday from and a shooting test on Sunday morning at 10:00 pm, which should last about 2 hours. Saturday: 8-hour training course from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at Robert's House Sunday: 2-hour shooting test from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Rio Salado (Usery Park) Gun Range This is an excellent introductory course designed to meet not only the Arizona State requirement to carry concealed, but will also familiarize you with the fundamentals of firearms safety, marksmanship and the Arizona laws related to the justified use of lethal force. Equipment Needed: Your firearm, at least 50 rounds of ammunition suitable for your firearm, eye and ear protection, pen/pencil, notebook. DO NOT Bring a loaded weapon to class. Make sure it is unloaded. CCW Class Cost: $80.00 Arizona DPS Filing Fee: $60.00 (bring cashier check made out to Arizona DPS) Rio Salado Gun Range Fee: $5.00 To qualify for an Arizona CCW permit under ARS 13-3112, you must: Be a United States citizen, or a resident alien with a valid "green card" and show proof of 90 days continuous residency in the State of Arizona. Be 21 years of age or older Not be under indictment for and have never been convicted of any felony or a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. Not suffer from mental illness and never have been adjudicated mentally incompetent or committed to a mental institution Not be unlawfully present in the United States Satisfactorily complete the 8 hour firearms safety training program approved by the department of public safety
