The small arms training session we have discussed will be the 20th and the 21st of March. We will plan on one day of pistol instruction and one day of rifle instruction. Probably do rifle on Saturday and pistol on Sunday. There wont be enough time to do shotgun as well. I have a number of instructors lined up who will do the instruction at no charge but we are using a private range and I would like to see a donation jar to help cover range maintenance. Primitive camping will be available at the range but bring water. A small convenience store is only a mile or two away. We also will be able to camp a a farm that is local that belongs to Marsha. Let me know if you prefer to camp at the range or the Farm The range is in Buckingham County, VA. I'll provide more information for the folks that are coming. You should bring whatever you would like to learn on. A semi auto pistol and rifle that takes magazines is preferred. Tube fed is ok but will slow you down on reload drills. There will probably be some extras if you don't have your own. You should also bring your own ammo (I'm working on details for quantity. Probably in the 250 range each). Targets will be provided. Everyone will need to provide their own ammo. I will be bringing pistols in 9mm and .45 cal and rifles in .223/5.56 . Each shooter should have about 250 rounds in pistol and rifle ammo. The best places to shop for inexpensive ammo is Walmart and then Dicks. You can also check out www.gun-deals.com for ammo. More details will be posted as they develop. Please post questions below.
