Heralded as one of the most influential Celtic bands ever to emerge from the U.S., Solas plays a blend of traditional, folk, and country melodies; bluesy, sometimes jazz-inspired improvisations; and global rhythms. The quintet uses traditional Irish instrumentsâ"guitar, flute, violin, tin whistle, bodhran, voiceâ"collectively making the most traditional, and non-traditional, of Celtic music.
