Germantown Maryland - Sewing / Quilting Day - November 21 - MSP Quilting Angels

Thanksgiving is coming soon! Express YOUR THANKS and create heirloom Quilts for our Kids with Cancer and Wounded Soldiers JOIN IN THE HONOR OF CREATING A QUILT This is our last weekend before the national event in Washington DC. We need to hit our goals for Quilts for Kids and Quilts of Valor. Check out our Quilting Angels Blog for details. We welcome new members, drop-ins and fellow sew/quilt friends. We have great fun and community spirit through our sewing / quilting activities. The ladies span several generations, we even have TWO - 3 generation families of sewing angels, one of which was featured in a Washington Post article. No Pressure, all FUN and we do it for a two great causes. The causes we currently sew for Quilts of Valor - quilts for ALL war wounded and injured service members from the War on Terror and Quilt for Kids - children's pediatric illnesses. This year we began a large outreach program to connect with service organizations, local community groups to spread the word about our work. Want to meet? We are just around the corner from where you are or you can car pool with one of the ladies in your area! We gather beginning at 9:00 AM and quilt until 3 PM. Pack your sewing machines and goodies, a snack or bring a dish to share. We sew all day long! Remember - It is not just about joining up, but joining IN Quilt on!
