From Memorial Day to Sept. 30, weekdays 8 -7, weekends 8-8. During May and Oct: weekdays 9-5:30 ; weekends 8-7. Call ahead. Parking at Center. Restrooms at start and along the way. Trail is on streets and dirt roads., where you'll wander this old west mining town and historic district with its quaint shops and 1800's Victorian architecture. This entire valley is designated the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District. The 10k route takes you through town and up to the Georgetown Loop Railway. The 5k route wanders through this charming town but does not go up to the train. Mountain weather can be very changeable so please dress accordingly. Sunscreen and water are advised.
