Nellya Fencers: Atlanta, GA
This is the 4th of a series of youth and open sabre competitions to be held at Nellya. Your top 5 finishes at Nellya competitions will be used to rank fencers at the end of the season and awards will be given to the top finisher of each age category.

Events Scheduled:
Mixed Saber
Y10 Mixed Saber
Y12 Mixed Saber
Y14 Mixed Saber
The times listed are the CLOSE of registration; fencing will begin approximately 30 minutes later. The club will be open at 8:30 AM.
Cost:
First event $35.00. Additional events are $15.
Fees can be paid at the door by cash or check made out to "Nellya Fencers."
You must present a current USFA membership card at check-in. If you don't have up-to-date USFA membership, an application form will be available at the registration table.
Format:
Open event, Y14 event: One round of pools with 100% promotion followed by 15-touch Direct Elimination round. There will be no fence off for 3rd place.
Y12 event: One round of pools with 100% promoted to a Direct Elimination round consisting of 2 out of 3 5-touch bouts.
Y10 event: Two rounds of pools with places determined by the average of the two results. Barrage for 1st place if there is a tie.
Awards:
Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
Weapon control:
Masks, lames, overgloves, mask cords, and body cords will be tested prior to the competition. All fencers must have two weapons, two mask cords, and two body cords. Plastron, sabre overglove, fencing socks, and proper fencing knickers will be required. Ladies, please wear your chest protectors.
****Y10 fencers MUST use blades that are designated a "2".
Other requirements:
USFA rules will be enforced. Fencers under 18 years of age must have the signature of a parent or guardian on the tournament registration form. Please call or email us if you won't be accompanying your child so that we can send a waiver to you.
