Gatlinburg Craftsmens Fair - Summer 2010

Promoters Sam and Tracey Large have developed an event that consistently attracts the countrys finest artists and craft people. One of the items that makes the Gatlinburg Craftsmens Fair so unique is the fact that the artists not only make their art available for viewing and sale, but they also demonstrate their special talents and skills. Time honored mountain crafts and traditional art forms are created as you watch during the renowned Gatlinburg Craftsmens Fair. Over 180 of the finest craftspeople from all over the United States demonstrate their skill, answer questions and offer their unique art for sale. Homespun necessities of yesteryear are turned into cherished treasures by artisans gifted in wood carving, pottery, broom making, jewelry design, stained glass, metal work, basket weaving, wood turning, calligraphy and much more. A musical background complements the climate of creativity at the Fair as melodies strummed on dulcimer, fiddle, banjo and other traditional instruments fill the air.
