Start Point Address / Driving Directions:
102 Kempner (22nd Street) ,phone # 409-621-2577. From Houston take I-45 South. I-45 becomes Broadway Street. Turn left onto 25th/Rosenberg Street. Turn right on Harborside Drive. Turn right on 22nd/Kempner Ave. Starbucks at corner of 22nd and Harborside Drive. Event Description: The walk includes historical sites such as The Strand, University of Texas Medical Branch- Old Red, Ashton Villa, Moody Mansion, Galvez Tremont Hotels, cruise ship viewing and Galveston Seawall. Start anytime between 7 am and 3 hours before dusk and finish by dark. Site hours of operation are from 5:30 am until 9:30 pm Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 am until 11 pm on Saturdays. Closed Christmas Day. Route is along sidewalks and city streets.
