Start Point is OPEN 24 hours a day including Christmas - walk trails during daylight hours. Seneca Creek State Park hours 8 am to sunset in Mar to Oct; 10 am to sunset in Nov to Feb. PARK GATES CLOSE AT SUNSET. PARK IS CLOSED: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas day - phone 301-924-2127. RESTROOMS/WATER are available at Denny's & at fast food restaurants in various locations between Denny's & the Park. Also they may be found inside the Park (some restrooms are not always open). PETS are not permitted in the State Park. Hiking boots & walking sticks are suggested. Option 1: The original Seneca Creek State Park trail follows scenic Seneca Creek & parts of Clopper Lake, mostly on natural terrain, with a few challenging hills, very scenic with occasional sightings of wildlife. This trail is not suitable for wheelchairs & strollers. Option 2: (Lake Trail) This Seneca Creek State Park trail goes around Clopper Lake with many scenic sights, wildlife & natural trails. This trail is also not suitable for wheelchairs & strollers. Option 3: This trail was designed for use by strollers, wheelchairs & individuals with different abilities. It follows park roads offering scenic views & wildlife sightings without the challenge of the natural wooded trails.
