Complete Description:
The first H1N1 flu vaccine clinic will be held on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the PE center, Lower Level Gym. This clinic is for CURRENT STUDENTS ONLY who meet the CDC criteria for vaccination at this time. For this clinic, the vaccine administration fee will be waived; there will be no charge. Both the injectable form and the intranasal form (nasal spray) will be available Students MUST bring their FSU photo ID to the clinic Students should wear short sleeved or sleeveless tops to make vaccination easier. Students who are under the age of 18 will need to have their parent or legal guardian accompany them to the clinic to sign the consent. If that cannot be arranged, call Brady Health Center (301-687-4310) to make other arrangements Those students who may be vaccinated include:
- Any students who are age 24 or under
- All students with qualifying medical conditions as asthma, diabetes, immune suppression, chronic heart disease (other than high blood pressure), chronic lung disease, chronic kidney or liver disease, neurological disease
- Pregnant women
- Students who live with or provide care to infants less than 6 months of age
Additional vaccination clinics will be scheduled once more vaccine becomes available

Frostburg State University, located on a 260 acre (1.1 km²) campus in Frostburg, Maryland, is part of the University System of Maryland. The school was founded in 1898 under the name State Normal School #2 and began teaching its first class in 1902. Its original mission was to train teachers for the Maryland public school system. In 1935, the school was renamed State Teachers' College at Frostburg and began offering a 4-year degree program leading to a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education degree.
