Complete Description:
Sponsored by Frostburg State University's Center for Creative Writing, Allegany Arts Council, Allegany County Library System, Community Trust Foundation and NewPage Corp., the "Backbone Mountain Review" is an annual publication that features poetry and prose by area writers. Works are reviewed and selected by a six-person editorial board, Brad Barkley, Amanda Bena, Jack DuBose, Jennifer Merrifield, Tom Sydow and Lori Yoder. Ann Townsell, a graphic artist for FSU, and Penny Knobel-Besa, photographer, assisted with the publication.

Some language in the publication may not be suitable for young readers or listeners. Light refreshments will be served during a reception following the reading.

The reading is free and open to the public, and complimentary copies of the 2012 publication will be available.
