As the industry flourishes, Phoenix proves itself to be a city on the rise - producing notable band after band. The diversity within the emerging Phoenix music scene is starkly apparent. Different genres, generations, and genders create the eclectic styles giving the area its credibility.

In a locale of such prominent reputation, it becomes difficult for any band to distinguish themselves from the rest. It takes more than melodic hits, 808-bass drops, or memorable guitar riffs. It's more than experience, talent, or personality that leaves the impression. It's Bless The Fall.

A five-piece that dug its heels into the dry desert sands and refused to relent. Bless the Fall planted themselves amid the chaos of competition in January of 2004 - drummer Matt and guitarist Mike formed a band with sweeping dreams and untainted visions. Early on, with friends playing as interim members, the band gained regional recognition by winning local battle-of-the-bands, spurring them to continue the forming enterprise despite the member changes that young bands typically face.

Temporarily secure in their line-up (with Craig's vocals and Jared playing bass), they spent the next year refining their sound, determining their influences, and focusing their aspirations. They drew from bands like Underoath, Alexisonfire, and As I Lay Dying to bands such as Blink 182. They quickly realized that their range was not limited to the average hardcore, screamo, rock bands they resembled, but that aspects of pop, hip-hop, rap, and even R&B surfaced - if not through Craigs vocal reach, then through the beats and rhythms that seemed to transpire in their music.

Being one of the youngest bands in the area, they were added to bills with other notable local artists such as Greeley Estates and Handcrafted. In August of 2005, Bless The Fall recorded their self-titled 3-song EP - nurturing their roots and enhancing their growing reputation.

By October, they completed their line-up when they added Eric on guitar, complementing the band's progressing sound. As the older bands were absent touring and recording, Bless The Fall took advantage of the musical drought in the Valley. They confirmed their capabilities by selling out local venues, show after show. Ultimately, they were responsible for shutting-down Neckbeard's, a well-known venue in January of 2006. Doors were permanently closed after the employees failed to maintain capacity due to the hundreds of kids outside forcing their way into an already sold-out show where Bless The Fall was headlining.

They continued to share the stage with other established artists, often drawing a bigger crowd then those more reputed. Heading back into the studio with some experience behind them, they recorded a series of new songs with Bluelight Audio. In May of 2006, they celebrated the release of their newly recorded EP with another sold-out show at The Clubhouse in Tempe, Arizona.

In addition to their staggering performances, they quickly became known for their uninhibited personalities and eccentricities, including a love for llamas, hot tamales, and the Top Gun soundtrack. It became apparent that Bless The Fall had certain advantages- they were in a prime position being younger, yet equally as capable as the more established bands.

The Record Collection recognized the potential Bless The Fall exudes and signed them immediately, putting the next stages of their career in motion. They are currently finishing recording their first full-length album - guaranteed to demonstrate their musical capabilities, refreshing attitudes, and transpiring success.

In the upcoming months, Bless The Fall will tour much of the U.S. and Canada, where they will no doubt garner recognition at an overwhelming rate.

From a city named after a mythical creature - known for its invincibility against competition and for its rise among ruin, there can be no better representation then Bless The Fall.
