Community Garden in Fremont needs volunteers!

Come have some fun in the dirt and learn a little something about gardening while doing it! No previous gardening experience is necessary, just a willingness to get a little dirty! Experienced gardeners will be on site to lead the way. Volunteers are provided with tools but you can bring your own if you'd like.

Members of the community are invited to participate in our gardening adventures. Garden "work parties" are scheduled each Saturday from 10am -12:30pm. We weed, water, plant, harvest, compost, and weed some more!

A "Zero Waste" potluck lunch will be served afterwards in the Fellowship Hall. Zero waste means we use real plates and cups instead of disposable paper products. We also compost the food scraps. Harvested vegetables are incorporated into the meals as much as possible. All garden volunteers are invited to participate (eat!).

Don't forget a hat or sunscreen, refillable water bottle, and a change of shoes (in case of mud). Bring gloves also, if you have them.
