SPEAKER AT FRANKLIN COLLEGE TO ADDRESS "GLASS CEILING" From the Franklin College press release:
Linda Carli, Ph.D. and visiting associate professor of psychology at Wellesley College, will present "Through the Labyrinth" on Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Branigin Room of the Napolitan Student Center as part of Franklin College's 2011-2012 Convocation Lecture Series.
Carli will address why women's paths to power in the workplace remain difficult to traverse. She also will explain why the "glass ceiling" is no longer a useful metaphor and proposes the labyrinth as a better image.
In her book, "Through the Labyrinth: The Truth about How Women Become Leaders," she addresses the issues women still face in the workplace and beyond.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
