Do you have a budding young actor who would jump at the chance to learn basic performance skills and act in a play? We are launching a new theater workshop for children ages 6-9, designed especially for those who would benefit from voice projection, body language, the use of props and costumes, and much more. Amazing Things and mnultilingual acting teacher Catarina Costa is ecstatic to invite those who speak Spanish and Portuguese to be part of this program.
In addition to learning the basics of stage performance, participants will have loads of fun “traveling around” the world of imagination using their creativity to help develop the show. At the end of the session, the class will present their production on stage at Amazing Things Art Center.
This workshop is for children ages 6-9.
Catarina was raised in Brazil. In 2003 she moved to the USA and settled here in Framingham. She has a B.A. in Theatre and Performing arts and performed throughout Brazil in a puppet theatre company. She also taught theatre in the public schools while in Brazil.
She teaches a wide range of programs for the Creative Movement & Arts Center in Needham, MA. She has choreographed and directed 'The Lion King', 'Annie' and 'The Little Mermaid' and many others.
Catarina also owns and runs a party entertainment business called Puppetmania where she and her partner offer face painting, games and puppet shows.
