Event details: NRA Basic Pistol Course
Description
- Classroom instruction will be Wednesday, November 19th and Thursday, November 20th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the Conservation Room at the Bass Pro Shops store in Foxborough.
- Range time Saturday morning, November 22nd at Mansfield Fish & Game. (Specific time is to be determined based on the class participant availability).
- Attendance is limited to 18 Participants.
- Total Course Cost is $110 payable on the first night by cash or check only. Please make all checks payable Jamie Turcotte.
Upon completion of this course, you will receive both a Massachusetts and NRA certificate of completion. Course completion is a valid requirement in applying for a Massachusetts Firearms License (Firearms Identification Card or License to Carry).
What will you learn in an NRA basic pistol course?
The NRA Basic Pistol Courses provide hands on learning opportunities in the following areas:
" safe firearm handling
" firearm parts and operation
" ammunition and its function
" shooting fundamentals and an opportunity to develop them on the range
" how to select, clean and store a firearm
When you've finished your course, not only will you have learned the basics, you will be on your way to pursuing a lifetime of shooting. By joining one of the nearly 10,000 NRA-affiliated clubs located across the U.S., you can meet people who share your interest, and make lasting friendships.
Course Requirements:
" Participants must be at least 21 yrs of age.
" Participants must be available to attend all classroom and range sessions.
Each attendee will receive eye and ear protection to use and keep upon completion of the course.
