Description
For nearly 40 years, Tom Russell has established himself as a boldly imaginative singer/songwriter whose poetic, small-detail-filled songs are more like character sketches than traditional folk numbers. While many of his songs have been covered by country/folk luminaries such as Johnny Cash, k.d. lang and Guy Clark, to name a few, it's been his adventurous concept albums that have brought him to the forefront of the contemporary folk scene. He's in town to support his recently released CD, Blood and Candle Smoke.
