Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization that provides meals and other services to anyone who is homebound and has no one available to prepare nutritious meals for them on a regular basis.
TCU has a route that delivers every Thursday. Currently Student Affairs staff goes in pairs, but students can go if they are with a staff member. If it is your 1st time, you will be with an experienced person. You will get the cooler and bags from me, and then pick up the meals from the Methodist church on Berry anywhere from 10:30-11:30 for Southside Route 7. It takes about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours to deliver all of the meals, taking it directly to the people's houses (you have a list with addresses, and a map). If you are interested in signing up for a particular Thursday or have any questions about the Meals on Wheels program at TCU, please contact Amie Lewis in the Center for Community Involvement & Service-Learning.
