Description:
Former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien will be the second speaker at The Vicente Fox Forum of World Leaders at TCU. He will speak from 1:30-3 p.m. Feb. 15, 2012, in TCU’s Brown-Lupton University Union Ballroom, 2901 Stadium Drive.

Chrétien served as Canada’s Prime Minister from 1993-2003. He is credited with improving the Canadian economy, including deficit elimination and budget surplus during five consecutive years, as well as ratification of the Kyoto Protocol.

Fox was the Forum’s first speaker; other world leaders scheduled to speak at the Forum in 2012 include the former Prime Minister of Spain, Jose Maria Aznar; former President of Poland, Lech Walesa; and former President and Prime Minister of Israel, Shimon Peres.

A key focus of the Forum is facilitating connections between former world leaders and college and high school students to encourage leadership development among youth and provide them with a glimpse of presidential leadership. TCU students, as well as students from area high schools and other universities will be able to attend the afternoon Forums free of charge.
