I saw Ekotren in concert on september 28th when they opened for Non-Point. It was my nineteenth birthday and it was the greatest concert ive been to yet!!!! I would love to have them play again sometime in Fort Myers. I would be the first to have tickets!!!!!!

Established in Cape Coral, FL in 2000 by vocalist John Sheldon, guitarist Keith Finnell, and keyboardist Steve Chin, EkoTren has carved their name deep into the scene. With the later additions of Bassist Derek DeSantis(ex Twisted Method), and drummer Frank Jargiello the quintet has toured the country extensively, in support of their debut album Light The Fire(2008) and have shared stages with the likes of Ill Nino, Skindred, Straight Line Stitch, Stained, Chevelle, Saliva, Flyleaf, Nonpoint, Diecast, Ankla and moreLinks

Cape Coral, FL based EkoTren has released the video for the track “Chupacabra” online at the following location http://www.metalsucks.net/?p=6046 . The video was directed by Eddie Karam, and animated by Ricco Paiva at The Edge Factory.

"Our manager Eddie has been talking about doing an animation video for a while, he has this friend who is just an amazing artist and he always wanted to work on a music video," says EkoTren frontman John Sheldon.
"We wanted to do something different and honestly to us ‘Chupacabra’ is one of those songs that only animation could pull it off. We really loved the way the video came out and hopefully so will our fans."
EkoTren has carved their name deep into the scene with the release of their Paul Trust (Diecast, Endo) produced debut album “Light The Fire”, which was released by Blind Prophecy Records. The album's lead single "Light The Fire" spent a whopping 27 weeks as one of the most requested songs on Sirius Hard Attack’s Devils Dozen, peaking at #3. The band has been on the road relentlessly since the release of the album on tours alongside Ill Nino, Scum of the Earth, Diecast, Mower, Droid and Bobaflex.

Florida hard rockers EkoTren have released a new video for "Tranquilized" the first single from their debut album "Light The Fire." The video was shot in early February in New Jersey by David Brodsky from MyGoodEye, who has worked with bands like God Forbid, Suicide Silence, Strapping Young Lad, The Red Chord and many others.

EkoTren has kept busy since recording their debut album in October of last year. They toured in Nov./Dec. with Diecast and Mower, then in Jan./Feb. with Ill Nino, Droid and Bobaflex, and are currently out with Scum Of The Earth (featuring Riggs from White Zombie) and Rikets.
"Light The Fire" was released Feb. 19 and the band has been on tour since. Its title track "Light The Fire" reaches its 15th week on the Devil's Dozen weekly countdown on Sirius Hard Attack, among bands like Testament, Meshuggah, and Cavalera Conspiracy where it currently sits at #4. Meanwhile, the radio single, "Tranquilized," is hitting active radio all over the country.

A new era begins. LIGHT THE FIRE, the long-awaited full-length by Florida metalcore band EKOTREN, will be released on February 19 in North America, February 20 in Japan, and February 25 in Europe.
The first single “Tranquilized” has been tearing across the airwaves, earning titles as Most Added Band on FMQB and #4 on CMJ’s Loud Rock charts. EKOTREN is slated to shoot a video for the song with David Brodsky [My Good Eye], who has directed for some of the biggest up-and-coming names including Strapping Young Lad, Suicide Silence, and the Red Chord. On a rare day off during their national tour with Ill Nino, the video will be shot on February 25 in New Jersey and is tentatively set for a March premiere.
Title track “Light The Fire” has made a big impact on Sirius satellite radio, currently standing at #8 on the Devil’s Dozen (Sirius Hard Attack’s Weekly Top Songs Countdown).
EKOTREN will be on tour with Ill Nino and Droid until March 2nd and will celebrate their homecoming with a CD release party on March 8th at Club Ricochet in Fort Myers, Florida.
