The Republik Band Bio It was in 2006 when long-time friends and band members Colin Healy(singer-songwriter) and Jacob Bauman(bass player) decided they would officially launch the band “The Republik”. Inspired by music ranging from Dave Matthews Band to Rage Against The Machine and everything in between, The Republik brings a lot to the table as far as diversity is concerned. The band's first album "Last Chance Planet," released in 2007, shows the talents of bassist, Jacob Bauman, age 16, (then 14) and singer-songwriter/guitarist, Colin Healy, 18 (then 16).
