Basic Principles of Ayurveda with Luciana Ferraz Saturday, November 14, 3:00pm ÂÂ- 5:30pm, $35 prepay, $40 day of Ayurveda is an ancient healing that has been practiced continuously for over 5,000 years. This ÂÂ"science of lifeÂÂ" has brought wellness and health to people by implementing simple changes in their daily lives. In this informal workshop you will learn the basic concepts of ayurveda. The origins, main characteristics of the 3 individual doshas vata, pitta, kapha and how your constitution is influenced by your daily activities. You will also learn how to incorporate a few ayurvedic daily routines that can bring radical changes into your life. Luciana has been teaching vinyasa / prana flow yoga since 2003 in Miami, Fl as well as assisting teacher Shiva Rea all over the world. While a student of yoga she was introduced to ayurveda and has been self-studying since 2001 under the guidance of practitioners Beth Biegler, belated Betheyla and James Bailey. She has also traveled a few times to Kerala, India experiencing treatments and guidance from local doctors. She is certified in the Ayuryoga training for teachers at the Ayurvedic institute in New Mexico. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring an old towel, shorts and top.
