US Road Sports and Entertainment is excited to introduce a new type of race, the 13.1 Marathon Series featuring fully themed races offering runners and walkers an exciting new way to race. Music, costumes, and breakfast on scenic courses in major cities across the nation will open you eyes to FUN RUNNING!!! Don't miss out on this beach party as it travels up and down the streets of Ft. Lauderdale! MARATHON THIRTEEN.ONE® is the inaugural series of half marathons serving some of America's top running communities with a standalone half marathon for locals to embrace and visitors to experience. The 2009 series kicked off in Miami Beach on March 1, 2009 with 13.1 Marathon Miami Beach and will be followed by events in Chicago on June 7, 2009, Atlanta on October 4, 2009 and Ft. Lauderdale on November 15, 2009.
