      Fort Laramie Rendezvous

The 1804 - 1840 fur trade period will be brought to life in South Park in the town of Fort Laramie over Father's Day Weekend. This family-friendly event will feature performances by the Wind River Indian Dancers, the Southeast Wyoming Pipes and Drum and Mountain Man Singers. Three days of authentic-period storytellers, fur traders offering their handmade items for sale, and a working blacksmith will help educate and preserve this very important history here in the great West. We will have children's games and Cannon-Candy shoots throughout the weekend. Black Powder Competitions and Tomahawk and Knife throws will be fun either as a participant or an observer. A Ladies Frying Pan Toss will certainly be a lot of fun. Through demonstrations and education we hope to keep this great historic time frame of our history alive through our annual Fort Laramie Rendezvous. Admission is free and there are plenty of places to eat and stay in the area.
