RITCHIE G. & TUTU KANE
7 p.m. | Free | All ages
This duo from the Oregon coast arrives inland for a small tour of select McMenamins locations and brings with it a unique musical fusion which combines soothing sounds from Hawaii with modern Americana – an island/heartland blend sure to warm the spirit this winter.
Ritchie G. is an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist who has released several CDs of his own compositions as well as albums produced with other songwriters. Tutu Kane just completed his first solo singer-songwriter work, to be released in late December 08. The two have played together just for fun for several years but decided in the last year to make the collaboration a more professional endeavor. In performance, the duo delivers an exciting show full of guitar and ukulele, richly-harmonized vocals and original Hawaiian/Americana compositions.
This past summer, Ritchie G. and Tutu Kane had the opportunity to open for Willie K, a nationally-recognized performer from Maui and member of popular cross-over act Barefoot Natives.
