Event details
Reception: The Art and Life of Karen Carrino at Jacksonville Center for the Arts
220 Parkway Lane South
Floyd, VA 24091
Karen Carrino was killed in a hit-and-run car accident in 1972. She was 19 at the time. In 1990, her sister, Deborah, set out to rediscover her sister's artwork and uncovered nearly 300 pieces. Many of these pieces - drawings, paintings and sculpture, largely of children - will be on display at The Jacksonville Center, standing as a reminder of both the individuality and humanity of children, and the vast talent that can lie in our youngest artists.
This free reception will include refreshments. Donations are welcome.
