This Bible Study Meet-up is for people from all different denominations and also for people with no church affiliation. At this time we have people in our group from the Church of Christ, Baptist Church, Nazarene Church, Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Non-Denominational Church, Presbyterian Church, and also the Catholic Church. We would love to add your church affiliation to our roster! It is a great study because whether each of us like to admit it or not, everyone has preconceived ideas about what the Bible says from hearing sermons and our own understanding through the years. It is important to ask the Holy Spirit to convict our hearts as we read and study. Sometimes we skip right over the meaning of some verses. Each week we decide what our next topic will be. One of us will lead out in the topic. If someone has a different understanding, they will share scriptures to make plain their perception. This Bible Study has really been informative. I have learned something each week that I had never considered before. We do not nor will we allow arguing. We always ask for the Holy Spirit to make known to us His will in the Scriptures. Once a topic has been thoroughly discussed and we still donÃÂ't agree, then we agree to disagree and go on to our next topic. Our topic Thursday, September 24 is: Salvation. Can we come to Salvation on our own? How does a person receive Salvation and what happens afterward? What does Scripture say about the Security and Assurance of Eternal Life? Here are some suggestions for future topics for us to study: 1. Do you believe in Creation, Evolution, or a combination of both? 2. Is Jesus as much God as God the Father and the Holy Spirit? 3. Can Salvation come through anyway other than through Christ? 4. How can I be assured of Salvation today? 5. If I am saved, what happens to my spirit at death? 6. If my Spirit goes to heaven, do I know family members that have gone before me and do they know my spirit? 7. Does my spirit take on a similar form in heaven so I can be recognizable? 8. If I am not saved, do I go directly to hell at death? 9. Describe what you believe Hell is like. 10. When Christ returns at the Rapture is the Rapture only seen by the saved, or does everyone see Christ return. 11. Do we receive our new bodies at the Rapture? 12. Where do the Raptured people go and how long do they stay there? 13. Does the tribulation time come before or after the Rapture? 14. What happens to the people who are not saved in the Rapture? 15. If the people who are not Raptured are still alive, do they have a chance to accept Jesus at that time? 16. How long a time is it between the resurrection of the righteous and the resurrection of the wicked? 17. Where does the Anti-Christ come from? 18. Is 666 a literal number that is tattooed on the wicked? 19. What is the Millennium and what goes on during that time? Will we remember what happened on earth once we go to Heaven? We are open to discuss any subject in the Bible. We do not use any other books other than commentaries and dictionaries. Maybe you have a subject you would like to suggest for discussion. Come this Thursday for study. By the way, if you just like to listen that is fine too. You can be as involved in the discussion as you want to be. We are an easy group to learn with. We start with prayer right at 7:00 and end with prayer at 8:00. Some people come late and some also stay later, but we start on time and close on time so you can plan accordingly. We are located at: 5268 Fenton Road, Flint, Michigan 48507. Half way between Hill and Maple on the west side of the road. (The Big Brown house between the 23 Drive-in and the LightHouse Church). See you there!
