      EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

       

      After attending this workshop, the participants will be able to:

      �-� Understand the history, development, and use of DSM-5.

      �-� Identify and apply the changes in DSM-5 from DSM-IV-TR and explain their rationale.

      �-� Use the new criteria in clinical settings, in research, and for administrative purposes.

       

      ACCREDITATION

      This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the Joint Sponsorship of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the Arizona Psychiatric Society.  The APA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

      DESIGNATION

      The American Psychiatric Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

      CE ACCREDITATION

      CE credits approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing #10612. 

      TARGET AUDIENCE

      This program is targeted to Psychiatrists, other Mental Health Professionals, and other Physicians.  This course is for clinicians who are already familiar with DSM-IV-TR, its content, and its use.  This presentation is solely to facilitate transition from DSM-IV-TR to DSM-5 and is not intended to be a basic course on DSM-5.
