Driving Directions
Come and experience the scenic beauty of Henry County's Smith River. The Smith River Junction will be hosting a Family Fun Float. The activity will begin at 1 p.m. with paddlers and rafters heading upriver to a point from where they will float downstream for 3.5 miles.
The is no charge to participate in the float. Bring your own canoe, kayak, or raft - rent them from Smith River Junction. For those with their own watercraft, a shuttle will transport you to and from the river access points for $10.
Food and refreshments will be available for sale. This is a family and pet friendly event. Primitive camping is available at Smith River Junction. It is anticipated that the float will take 2-3 hours.
