Goitse (pronounced 'Gwitcha,' an informal Irish Gaelic greeting meaning 'come here') is a flourishing, highly talented quintet fast making a name for themselves as one of the most sought after bands among connoisseurs of Irish traditional music. Students at the University of Limerick's world-famous school of Traditional Irish Music and Dance, with a line-up of All-Ireland champions on fiddle, piano accordion, banjo, guitar and bodhran, their fast-paced energetic playing has seen them enjoy a growing fan base through show-stopping performances in Ireland, Europe, America and even Africa. The distinctive quality of their sound lies in the arrangment of well-known traditional tunes interspersed with their own compositions, making for lively and entertaining sets.
