Kaboose was born Ron Wilson to a Caucasian mother and a Native American Father. The streets of San Jose, California were his first neighborhood. His mother, fully aware of the heavy negative influences of the streets and the fast-paced, self-destrucive lifestyles associated with them, decided to move her small family to Minnesota. In addition to the drastic climate change, Kaboose found himself in a very different social environment. Sports became his refuge and identity. In fact, he even had "big dreams" for hoops.
