Look, Listen and Learn: Skills to Build Planning, Attention Span and Impulse Control -14 Weeks - ...

Course Descritption:

This 14 week class is designed to slow children down, to teach them about planning and better decision making. Class time will include activities focused on building attention span and improving impulse control. Like our Social Skills Groups, this is a play based experience. Children will learn while having fun!

Class meets on Mondays from 5:45pm - 7:00pm beginning February 27, 2012

There will be no class on Monday April 2nd (Fairfax County Spring Break) or Monday May 28th (Memorial Day).

Classes will be divided into groups by age.

Parenting Playgroups provides a small snack during class. No outside food or drinks please.

Children are welcome to join the program after it's start date, and only pay for classes from enrollment date to program completion.

Please note - This is a drop off program.We have found it works best and children participate fully when parents are not present.

Tuition Amounts and Payment Information:

Tuition amount for the 14 week program is $560. The total tuition amount is divided into four installment payments. The first installment is due with the completion of this enrollment. Follow on installments are due on the 1st of each month beginning March 1, 2012. You will be provided with payment options during the first class.

Schedule of installment payments are set forth as follows:

Installment #1: $140.00 due now

Installment #2: $140.00 due 03/1/12

Installment #3: $140.00 due 04/1/12

Installment #4: $140.00 due 05/1/12

General Terms and Conditions

Missed Classes:

While we are unable to offer a make-up class for missing a Look, Listen and Learn class time, we are able to provide you with a certificate toward one of Dr. Rene's parenting workshops. Please contact Ms. Erin to recieve your certificate. Erin@parentingplaygroups.com

There are no tuition deductions for missed classes.

Refunds:

There are no refunds given for payments made for our Children's Programs or Parent Workshops. If you make a payment and need to cancel or change plans, you can put your paid tuition towards any future Children's Program or Parent Workshop at Parenting Playgroups. If a Program or Workshop is cancelled for a power outage, weather condition or similar event, we will work to provide a make-up class or you may apply your paid tuition towards any future Children's Program or Parent Workshop at Parenting Playgroups. If we have to cancel a Program or Workshop due to low enrollment or a scheduling conflict, you can attend a make-up, apply your paid tuition towards any future Children's Program or Parent Workshop at Parenting Playgroups or we will issue a refund. If paid thru paypal, this refund will incur a small, paypal cancellation fee.

Weather Related or other Unscheduled Closings:

Parenting Playgroups follows the inclement weather closing/delay practices of Fairfax County Schools. Should any class be cancelled by Parenting Playgroups due to weather or other unscheduled event, you may apply your paid tuition towards any future Children's Program or Parent Workshop at Parenting Playgroups.

Returned Checks:

There is a $25 charge for any check returned by the bank.

Responsibility:

In consideration of being accepted in the Program, Parent and Child each hereby release Parenting Playgroups Inc. and each of their directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives and affiliates (collectively, the "Parenting Playgroups Parties") from any and all loss, liability, damage, cost or expense arising out of Child's participation in the Program. This agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without regard to principles of conflict of laws.

Emergency Medical Authorization:

Enrollment in the Program is contingent on completion of the Family Information Form which includes requisite medical information for your Child. Should your Child become ill, be injured or require emergency or other medical treatment during the Program, Parenting Playgroups will attempt to contact the Emergency Contact persons set forth on the Family Information Form. Should these Emergency Contact Persons be unavailable, Parent hereby requests, authorizes and gives full permission and consent to the Parenting Playgroups Parties to act on the Parent's behalf and in their stead.
