Description
In the summer of 1922, a young American priest named Robert Shannon arrives in Ireland in search of his soul. Shell-shocked by what he saw as a chaplain with the Marines in Normandy, and demoralized by the corruption he encountered in the Boston Archdiocese, Shannon is troubled. Stepping ashore, he is thrust into Ireland&39;s deepest issues and most profound traditions. Taking him deep into the country&39;s complicated heart, this remarkable journey challenges and changes Shannon.
