Start Point Address / Driving Directions:
10209 Main St; 703-385-8414. From the Washington Beltway, Exit 6, Rt 236W (Little River Turnpike which becomes Main St) toward Fairfax. Proceed 4.3 miles to museum parking lot on the left. Event Description: Start Point is open daily, 9am-5pm. Start Point is closed Easter, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and school snow days. Call ahead in winter weather since the museum will be closed if county schools close. Trail is rated 1+ and is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Paved and gravel surfaces in historic Old Town Fairfax, wooded parks, some residential areas, and the George Mason University campus. Pets are permitted but not in the Start Point.
