One month out from the show and the Melbourne leg of the Buzzcocks Love... Bites tour is all sold out. Sydney, Brisbane and Perth are not far behind either and the remaining cities are doing their best slow burning impersonation. Don't say we didn't warn you!
Joining the Buzzcocks for the majority of these shows are Melbourne punkers The Spazzys. It's the second time round for these two bands having first teamed up for an Australian tour back in 2003 when The Spazzys were just teenagers.
The timing couldn't be better for the trio with a new album - their second - due for release the same month. The Spazzys will support the Buzzcocks in Brisbane, Coolangatta, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart and Adelaide.
Suburban Sydney punks Royal Headache have also been invited along and will join the fun as opening act in Sydney and Melbourne. The 'Headache have been causing all sorts of fuss recently most of it generated from overseas where UK blog Rose Quartz ran a rave review of their demo cassette 'Eloise b/w Girls' which was consequently picked-up and given further approval by US music web-bible Pitchfork. The unassuming band from Sydney's nth western suburbs have recently completed a follow-up- a 7" ep - due for release any day now.
Local scooter club enthusiasts The New Invincibles join the Buzzcocks in Perth adding a Hammond led mod-edge to the evening. A nice touch.
Tickets are on-sale now and moving fast.
