Teaching Social Skills Level 2 Yarmouth June 1

Prerequisite: Teaching Social Skills Level 1

This is an advanced-level course on teaching social skills to students with learning disabilities. This hands-on program will focus on applying and practicing the strategies introduced in Level 1 through group work, role playing and case studies.

We will be focusing on the following:

1.Simulation experiences to help participants empathize with a student who has a learning disability.

2.Development and application of the eight steps for creating an effective social skills program.

3.Practice of social skills teaching methods.

This workshop would be of interest to all those who care for or work with children with learning disabilities. Participants will receive a Certificate of Accomplishment, Teaching Social Skills Level 2.

*If a workshop participant is unable to attend an upcoming workshop they must give at least one week notice prior to date of workshop. If a week's notice is given, then the appropriate refund will be provided. If a week's notice is not given, then the participant will be billed or no refund will be given for that workshop.
