      SuperDaughter Day 2019 - Hobart

SuperDaughter Day (SDD) is coming to Hobart! Join us as we explore the exciting world of STEM through a range of activities.   About SuperDaughter DaySuperDaughter Day is an annual International Women's Day Event hosted by WORK180. Since 2016, over 3000 girls aged 5-12 years old became superheroes along with the parents, exploring the exciting world of STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths).  The girls participated in a wide range of hands-on activities, including:  Magformers, Cubetto Robots and Ozobots Interactive Bug Displays Lego Mind Storms Makey Makey Visit from NAO the Humanoid Robot Jewelbots and interactive unicorn horns Apart from participating in engaging workshops, the girls also have an opportunity to meet inspiring female role models, enjoy cupcakes and receive a goodie bag to take home. The event is held in capital cities in Australia and New Zealand.  Details Who: Girls aged 5 – 12 years old When: 30th of March | Two events held in one day, please choose one time slot:First event: 10 am - 1 pm Second event: 2 pm - 5 pm Where:  How much: $25 for girls (plus booking fee) / adults come free (you MUST book an adult ticket with your girl's ticket) Note: limited tickets on sale, please grab your tickets as soon as possible as they will sell out fast. Please feel free to register as a volunteer for Hobart by choosing the ticket "Volunteer at SDD Hobart". Please note photos and videos may be taken at the event.  Before you book... we need your help! With hundreds of girls on the waitlists this year, we are hoping to have bigger venues, more events in each city and enough activity providers to cater to over 3,000 girls across Australia and NZ in 2019.   Despite beginning to fundraise almost as soon as this year’s SDD was over, we are still behind our target. If we don’t make this target, we will still run a small number of events but it would mean a LOT of girls will miss out.   As you know, this year the event was run by volunteers and took a huge amount of effort to organise. We are relying on corporate sponsors to help us meet the demand next year and would love our help to reach as many potential sponsors as we can.   What can you do?   Introduce us to anyone who can help contribute through their company. Sponsors can be companies who care about women in STEM, primary or secondary schools, manufacturers of kids’ toys or anyone else you can think of! Please send us an email on hello@work180.co Keep an eye on our social media channels and share the posts about supporting SuperDaughter Day in 2019.
