Russian Film Week: Relations (Melodrama)

Director: Avdotya Smirnova. Ilya is s a successful businessman in Moscow who owns several Hunting Equipment stores. He is happily married to a great woman and adores their 12 year old daughter. Nina is an advertising agent who lives in St. Petersburg. She is a happily married to a wonderful man, with whom she raises their 8 year old son. Somewhere between St. Petersburg and Moscow, Nina and Ilya meet and fall deeply in love. A succession of passionate dates follow and the lightness of their romance slowly fades, turning into a desperate need to see each other. As married adults, they agree from the very start that they would not divorce or arouse their spouse's suspicions. Naturally, that never happens.
