Get ready to lose your shit and stick your horns up for Priestess's new record. After an absence of more than three years, the moment has finally come for the four Montreal beardos to release their highly anticipated sophomore record due out in Canada on October 20th on Indica Records/Red Ink. The punishing eleven-song effort, entitled Prior To The Fire, was recorded in LA in the fall of 2008 and produced by Dave Schiffman (System Of A Down, Nine Inch Nails, Mars Volta)
Since their formation back in 2003, Priestess has become one of Canada's most successful hard rock bands, and an international force to be reckoned with. The band released their debut Hello Master back in 2006 and since then has spent most of their time on the road touring with heavy hitters like Megadeth, Motörhead, Mastadon, GWAR and participating in several high-profiled events such as Heavy MTL with Iron Maiden, Festival d'Èté de Québec with Stone Temple Pilots, and Monsters of Rock/Ozzfest with Ozzy Osbourne. just to name a few.
The Priestess' profile skyrocketed when their song "Lay Down" was featured in the smash-hit videogame Guitar Hero, earning them a legion of new fans. Their music has also been heard in the HBO series Entourage, Friday Night Lights and it was recently announced that their new song "Raccoon Eyes" will be on the upcoming EA Sports' NHL 10. Their two singles "Lay Down" and "Talk To Her" also became top 15 hits at rock radio across Canada.More info: Click here
