Pavão Winter Concert

Live music brings Blackwell back to life and the intimate informal atmosphere, with a roaring log fire in winter, provides a relaxed and beautiful setting which can make these evenings very special. This year we are delighted to welcome the Pavão Quartet back to Blackwell. The Pavão Quartet last played at Blackwell in 2006 and the audience were treated to a delightful evening of music.

This versatile ensemble is not only highly-regarded in classical concert venues across the world, but has enjoyed collaborations with renowned rock, pop and jazz artists and even a contemporary dance company. In addition to a busy UK schedule, the Pavãos have also performed in France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, New York and Switzerland. All four have shared the stage with some of the world’s finest musicians and singers, including Elton John, Katherine Jenkins and Pavorotti.

The concert programme at Blackwell will include performances of Haydn Quartet No.49 - “Sunrise”, Bax Quartet No.1 in G major, and Mendelssohn Quartet Opus post. 80 in F Minor.

Wine will be served during the interval. Places are very limited in the intimate setting of the Main Hall at Blackwell, so please book early as tickets for this special evening are expected to be popular.
